Opening of FEKDI x KKI event
Bank Indonesia together with the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises and the Ministry of Industry have successfully held an inspiring exhibition and conference entitled “FEKDI x KKI 2024” with the main theme “Synergy to Strengthen the Digital and Inclusive Economy and Finance for Sustainable Growth” on 1-4 August 2024 at the Jakarta Convention Center.

This four-day event is a strategic event not only for the government, related industries, but also the general public to jointly map the future of a digital payment system that is increasingly integrated and affordable for all people in Indonesia.
Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo in his speech stated that cross-sector collaboration is the key to realizing an inclusive digital payment ecosystem. Through FEKDI x KKI 2024, his party hopes to encourage the acceleration of digital transformation in the payment sector and support the growth of MSMEs and creative industries based on local wisdom.
As one of the main events on its opening day, a show was held to showcase haute couture made using superior textiles from the North Sumatra region. This was a collaboration with renowned Indonesian designer, Biyan Wanaatmadja, where he presented various works with Ulos Cloth using the typical Tumtuman motif.
The following day, Chitra Subyakto, Creative Director and founder of the Jauh Mata Memandang label, shared an inspiring story about sustainable fashion which was then continued with a show of works by designer Toton Januar who displayed Batik Gedog Tuban and Batik Tulis Ciwaringin, as well as Mel Ahyar who presented Lombok Tenun.
During the four days of the event, FEKDI x KKI 2024 will feature various interesting activities, ranging from a technology and digital payment service exhibition, conferences and panel discussions, as well as an exhibition of MSME products from wastra, ready-to-wearto culinary and Indonesian snacks. Through this series of activities, FEKDI x KKI 2024 becomes platform strategic for government, industry and society to work together to realize the future of digital payments. seamless, efficient, and inclusive in Indonesia.
